Dr. Chaitanya Nagori

Dr. Nagori passed his MBBS in 1975, DGO in 1978 and MD in 1979 from V.S. hospital and N.H.L. Municipal Medical college, Ahmedabad. After that he worked as an Assistant Professor at SSG Hospital, Vadodara from 1981 to 1984, at Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad from 1985-1989 and at V.S. Hospital, Ahmedabad from 1990-1992. This academician was then forced by politically active forces to leave the teaching hospitals. His popularity amongst his students and patients was the cause of this. He then started his private practice in 1992 November at Sangini complex, near Parimal Railway crossing , Ahmedabad. This was a time of great financial difficulties for him and he was into private practice for the first time. Therefore this was a very small premises. But he was very sure from the first day of his practice that he was going to practice only infertility. It was a very courageous decision and may be thought to courageous even now. Obstetric practice is like bread and butter for a gynaecologist, which he had totally abandoned. This showed his confidence in his knowledge. He is therefore considered a pioneer of the superspeciality- infertility. He proved himself by establishing a huge practice in 2-3 years. This was his because of his unbelievable results with IUI and in also in patients with male factor infertility. In 1999, he established the first one stop fertility clinic, ‘Dr. Nagori’s Institute for Infertility and IVF’, with an advanced IVF lab also.

Learning and teaching was always his first interest and therefore even when in private practice, he continued this. He has so far given more than 700 lectures at various state, national and international platforms. He believes that teaching gives you an incentive to continuously update your knowledge and make you perfect.
